Some new photos of Mischa for Smacky Glam have been uploaded to their website. Unfortunately the pictures are pretty small but nevertheless Mischa looks beautiful! Thanks to Marie for finding them.

Hollywood’s leading ladies are picking up their favorite knitting needles and crochet hooks to spread some warmth to newborns in developing nations. Save the Children Artist Ambassador Gwyneth Paltrow, and actresses Rebecca Romijn, Debra Messing, Lisa Edelstein, Vera Farmiga, Mischa Barton and Patricia Arquette joined Save the Children and the Warm Up America Foundation’s Knit One, Save One campaign to help improve newborn survival globally.

Hollywood’s biggest stars made little caps in all colors and wrote personal messages to the mom and baby on a tag attached to the cap.

Mischa Barton, star of the “O.C.,” knitted a bright orange baby cap for the Knit One, Save One campaign.

The project has inspired some Hollywood artists like Mischa Barton to pick up knitting for the first time. “It’s great that you can help change a baby’s life in just an hour — or more like a few hours if you’re just beginning to knit like me,” said Mischa Barton.  Barton’s simple square cap, bright orange with two multicolored tassels on top, is adorned with a cap tag that says: “Even though we are far apart, I hold you close to my heart.”

Candids of Mischa at a liquor store buying light beer on October 13th have been uploaded. Also uploaded is an image from Go Girl! who voted Mischa their favourite cover girl. According to Amira (one of our regular visitors and contributors), Mischa has been feautred on their cover 3 times which is a record for the magazine.

The Handbag.com and Cancer Research UK Handbag Amnesty Auction is now up and running! The bag Mischa donated is currently at £155.00 with just under five days left for bidding. All proceeds go to Cancer research so this a great way to get one of Mischa’s bags whilst supporting an important cause.

Now back in the US following her hectic fashion week(s) schedule, Mischa was spotted leaving the dentist on October 6th. Mischa is reportedly due to be in India some time in November to begin filming her next movie.

A waiting list for Mischa’s upcoming hair accessories collection has been added to the Stacey Lapidus website. Click here to sign up. The website states that the collection is due in Spring but a preview of it will be available soon. Also, the logo for the collection has been revealed which comprises a mixture of the Stacey Lapidus logo infused with Mischa’s flower logo from her handbag collection. Looks like Mischa is on her way to building a mighty fine fashion label. I’m personally very excited to have Mischa step into the world of business and branding.

As an aside, rumours are circulating that Mischa is in neogitations to attend the Melbourne Cup Carnival in Australia with negotiations also underway for an undisclosed department store to carry her label downunder. Mischa’s Australian reps are the same guys who represent and market Hilary Duff in Aus so if a deal does go ahead, my bets are on retail giant Myer picking up Mischa’s line.
