So guys India has been amazing. A little frenetic, as they do things a little different here! So it’s been tough with the long shoot days to check in much! But the people are amazing, so eager to please and I’ve learned so much from them.

I’ve been having an amazing spiritual exploration visiting Hindu temples and learning about Buddhism, both beautiful religions. Hyderabad where we’re filming is a real inspiration in the fact that Christians, Muslims and Hindus all get along so harmoniously. I must admit I used to make fun of people who were all into yoga and chai tea thinking it was another ridiculous health fad. But now I’m that person! First of all Masala Chai tea, the traditional way with milk and sugar is delicious, and this is coming from a brit who only likes my breakfast tea!

I must say my goal coming here was to learn to play the sitar and it’s coming along real slow as apparently it’s not that easy to procure a great sitar teacher here, I guess it not late 60′s with Ravi Shankar and George Harrison roaming around unfortunately!!!!

Goa was my christmas break, and it was stunning, I actually went to South Goa (which isn’t the party side of town) thats the North bit, but I’ll post tons of footage for you guys out there. If only technology didn’t hate me and I was decent with electronics!  But I went parasailing, jet skiing and swimming in the ocean for ages every day. The colors, fabrics, food will blow your mind….so stay tuned to see me on my vacation and what I got up to.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY CHANUKAH and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! xx

Mischa Barton Launches Headband Line

We’ve already known this for many months but for some reason its just now hitting the greater media…

Extra Credits: Mischa Barton Launches Headband Line

Despite hard times, celebrity collections just keep on coming. Those of actress Mischa Barton are cases in point. She’s launching a headband line for Stacey Lapidus and already has a handbag collection for the London-based Ri2k, now in its third season, which is sold in England and Australia.

Mischa Barton is keen on accessories. In fact, the 22-year-old actress, who made her name as the teen temptress Marissa Cooper on Fox’s “The O.C.,” now has two collections of them: one, a headband line for Stacey Lapidus, being launched for holiday, the other a bag line for the London-based Ri2k, which is sold in the U.K. and Australia. Barton also has two upcoming films. She plays a popular student in “Assassination of a High School President,” due out in March, and a reporter in “Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain,” about a chemical disaster in India that claimed 10,000 lives.

The headband venture came about when, earlier this year, Lapidus spotted photographs of Barton wearing one across her forehead à la Axl Rose. This convinced the designer, a former accessories editor at Vanity Fair, that a collaboration could work. “She’s definitely known for being bohemian and for her hippie look, but then you will turn a page and see her in head-to-toe Chanel,” says Lapidus of Barton. “I tried to put both the bohemian and the classic into the collection.”

The Mischa Barton for Stacey Lapidus line consists of six pieces for holiday decorated with pearls, beads, crystals, sequins and flowers. One standout is a silk, crystal and pearl upside-down tiara intended to be worn on the forehead. Priced from $80 to $200, the Barton pieces initially will be sold at staceylapidus.com, but Lapidus plans to expand distribution to boutiques that sell her signature line.

Barton’s first accessories venture, Mischa Barton Handbags for the London-based company Ri2k, is now in its third season. For fall ’09, Barton plans to work a Seventies vibe. “Even though I’ve always taken a page from vintage bags that I have and love, I think now I’ll be able to push that a little bit further and do more in terms of embellishment and embroidery,” Barton says. “Now I really feel like I have their confidence in me. People want to see that you can deliver and do, like, a good job.”

Mischa’s Goan Christmas

Goa may be on high alert this Christmas with revellers staying away from the ultimate party destination but for Hollywood hottie Mischa Barton, it’s still the place to be this festive season.

The actress is currently soaking up the sun in Goa and will be celebrating Christmas there with a bunch of close friends.

The OC actress who’s in the country shooting for Ravi Walia’s international film Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain — in which she plays a journalist — took a break from her hectic schedule to spend a week on the exotic beaches of Goa. The film being directed by Ravi Kumar is presently being shot in Hyderabad and also stars Hollywood’s veteran actor Martin Sheen and Kal Penn.

A source revealed, “She was very keen on spending her Christmas in Goa and had already requested the producer and the director to let her take a break there.

She was very excited about her visit.” Refusing to divulge any details about the sexy actress’ stay there, the source added, “She wants it to be a hush-hush affair due to security reasons. She was keen on visiting Mumbai as well, but her hectic schedule’s not leaving her any time for that.”
