Here is the second promo for episode 2 of The Beautiful Life: TBL titled “The Beautiful Aftermath”. The promo doesn’t feature Mischa, but I like how the first promo is based around the more snarky and scandalous side of the show whereas this promo is more of the softness and the heart. Remember, TBL airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
And a slight bit of good news regarding the ratings, TBL had over 1 million viewers sample the show on Friday and then again on Sunday. This bested the repeat results of Melrose Place and now means that potentially 3.5 million people sampled the show over its 3 airings. This data does not include internet viewing or DVR results, so the cumulative audience will increase again. We just have to hope that enough people watch the show live on Wednesday’s, cause that’s when it really counts.
Unfortunately The Beautiful Life: TBL premiered last night to extremely low viewership. The network can’t really spin the result in any positive way so the only hope of survival is if the show grows over the coming weeks. Here are the results:
In series-premiere news, CW drama The Beautiful Life did not live up to its title, with a mere (and very last-place) 1.46 million viewers and a 0.7/ 2 among adults 18-49 at 9 p.m. Comparably, retention out of the second-half of lead-in America’s Next Top Model (Viewers: 3.00 million; A18-49: 1.5/ 4 at 8:30 p.m.) was only 49 percent in total viewers and 47 percent among adults 18-49. One year earlier, a repeat of 90210 averaged a stronger 1.92 million viewers and a 1.0/ 3 among adults 18-49 in the time period. Top Model, meanwhile, is down considerably, with an average 2.81 million viewers (#5) and a fourth-place 1.4/ 4 among adults 18-49 from 8-9 p.m. Comparably, that was a loss of a hefty 34 percent from one year earlier.
