The DVD for Don’t Fade Away co-starring Ryan Kwanten, Beau Bridges and Ja Rule has been announced in Australia for an April 6th, 2011 release. This is the first English-speaking territory where the DVD has been announced so hopefully the US and the UK will follow soon.

Life was easy for Jackson White (Ryan Kwanten). With looks, brains, and athletic ability, the possibilities seem endless. But when he came to New York City to pursue a career in the music industry, he was so seduced by money and status that he lost track of who he was. Now, with both his personal and professional lives heading towards the brink of disaster, he retreats home to care for his dying father (Beau Bridges). While in North Carolina, he’ll have to confront the friends he lost track of and the girl he left behind (Mischa Barton). Source: EzyDVD
It took what felt like a lifetime to find a way to get these pictures, but finally… Photos of Mischa at the Third Annual Valentine Romance ‘Sneak Peek’ Oscar Suite & Party have now been added. This is the event that was on held on February 8th.
Some larger size movie stills from You and I have been added.
In other news, You and I grossed an additional $197,136 in its second week (an approx. 52% drop from the week earlier) at the Russian box office. This gives the movie an accumulative total of $775,087 over two weeks. The movie dropped from #7 to #11 with the average gross per screen dropping from $827 to $397.
Despite its world premiere launch in Moscow, You and I failed to garner any significant attention at the Russian box office over its opening weekend. The film came in 7th position accumulating an opening gross of $411,263 or an average of just $827 per screen.
This wouldn’t be so bad if the movie was made on a smaller budget, but reports for the production costs of the film vary from $12 million all the way up to $20 million. It seems the film will need to rely on international sales to pick-up some steam and hopefully its second outing in Russia won’t see significant drops.
You and I stars Mischa Barton in the role of Lana Starkova opposite Shantel VanSanten and Anton Yelchin. The film was directed by Roland Joffe with appearances by Russian girl-group t.A.T.u.
As an aside, Russian media is reporting that You and I has found a US distributior and that the film should be launched by mid-Spring. It’s unclear if they are planning a theatrical release or a straight-to-DVD roll out.

Finally, some new candids of Mischa! Photos of Mischa leaving a gifting suite in West Hollywood have been uploaded. *UPDATED*
I finally got my hands on a copy of Mischa’s cover from W Korea December 2006 so scans of the spread have been added to the gallery. It turns out the magazine is over-sized and the paper quality is only a little better than a newspaper, so unfortunately I couldn’t get a great scan result. But nevertheless, I’m happy to finally have the full spread.
The photos I had up of the spread in the ‘magazine scans’ section originally have now been moved to the ‘photoshoots’ section. The photos are essentially the same, I just wanted to differentiate between actual scans and photo previews/outtakes.
