Style icon Mischa Barton might be known for seamlessly shifting from retro-cool street style and red carpet elegance, but regardless of where she’s headed, Mischa tells PEOPLE.com, “Accessorizing is oddly my favorite part of dressing up.” It comes as no surprise then that the actress has been having fun developing her headband collection with designer Stacey Lapidus. Mischa says that she found inspiration for the hair accessories, which range from $50 to $200, in her jet set lifestyle. “I’ve been working in the likes of India, Milan, Paris, London, Montreal, L.A, and NYC,” she explains. “My style has been somewhat boho chic, which I think is a result of having traveled so extensively throughout the course of the past year.” And she’s about to get even busier! In addition to her headband line and a collection of handbags, Barton is waiting to hear whether her pilot for the CW, A Beautiful Life, will get picked up for a series this fall. “It was a blast to film and though I’ve only seen bits and pieces [of it], I’m proud of the show and hopeful that I’ll get to shoot some more,” she says. “Since I have an obvious passion for fashion, it was also incredible for me to be offered a role that’s immersed in the industry.” Check out Mischa’s collection, available now at staceylapidus.com. – Lisa Ingrassia
Mischa graces the cover of FHM in Spain for the month of May 2009. The shoot is the same as the UK edition with slightly different editing. The picture FHM Spain chose for the cover is miles better than the UK edition, imo. Huge thanks to Mary for being generous enough to scan the issue for us!
Also added are a couple of photos from a BAFTA photo shoot Mischa participated in. Her dress btw, is by designer Osman Yousefzada.
Mischa’s posted a new blog entry about a charity dinner she recently attended in London. Check out the official site for more.
Last night I attended a charity event hosted by Kevin Spacey in London. It was a private dinner in support of the Ecology Trust and the Aspinall Foundation at Ormeley Lodge.
The Ecology Trust distributes funds to frontline and unsung organizations battling to protect the environment, both domestically and globally. Whereby the Aspinall Foundation is a charity that sets out to protect threatened species such as , rhino, cheetah, chimpanzee, mountain gorilla, African wild dog, and marine species such as the sea turtle.
It was incredible meeting Kevin Spacey. He’s a wonderful actor and I truly admire his work. It was an honor to have been invited to his event not to mention the fact that it was for such a worthy cause.

Another day, another set of candids! Mischa again spotted leaving her hotel in London – these shots from April 25th.
A couple of news stories have come out with some new quotes from Mischa regarding The Beautiful Life:
‘It’s a younger version of Sex And The City,’ Mischa told me at the launch of Matthew Williamson for H&M. ‘I play a super-bitchy model in New York, which is fun but hard because that is so not me. If the pilot does well, I may be spending a lot more time in New York.’ DailyMail
Elle Macpherson uses insight to help make drama out of fashion
Mandrake hears that the 45-year-old actress has signed up to play a former model turned agent in A Beautiful Life, for which a pilot episode has already been filmed in America.
“It’s a really great show,” said Mischa Barton, who starred in the glamorous drama series The O.C. and plays a model in A Beautiful Life.
It’s like The O.C. times 10. Everyone is dressed in the latest Versace and McQueen. Zac Posen has a fashion show in the first episode and plays himself.”
Mischa, 23, who was speaking at the launch of Matthew Williamson’s range of clothes for H&M, at the chain’s flagship store in Regent Street, added: “It’s hilarious to be playing my character because she’s the famous bitchy character, but she has a heart of gold. She loves a drama. I really enjoy playing her like that, a bit catty.
“I was trying to be as realistic as possible, portraying the good, the bad, everything. I think it’s a fascinating world, couture. I bought most of my wardrobe. My character wears these [she pointed to studded Christian Louboutin heels], which I love.” Telegraph
More candids! The paparazzi must seriously be camped outside the hotel waiting for Mischa to enter and/or exit. Anyway, here are the new additions:
