Scans from Mischa’s two page Heat magazine spread in the UK have been uploaded. The spread features a look at what Mischa packed during her current stay in London. She mentions some of her favourite brands (e.g. jeans by Sass & Bide) and the article also reveals that Mischa’s new handbag collection will be released June/July 2009. Big thanks to Mel from Blake Lively Web for scanning!
Fango got word about a pair of independent features spotlighting different kinds of crazy heading for big screens in the coming months. One, Morgan J. Freeman’s HOMECOMING, is played straight, while Luke Ricci’s HOW TO BE A SERIAL KILLER is pitched as a gruesome satire.
In HOMECOMING, Freeman (no relation to the similarly named actor) returns to the bad-girl territory he previously explored in AMERICAN PSYCHO II: ALL AMERICAN GIRL. Mischa Barton stars as Shelby, a small-town girl and former homecoming queen who’s just a tad upset when her former beau Mike (Matt Long) comes home from college for Christmas break with his new girlfriend Elizabeth (THE HILLS HAVE EYES II’s Jessica Stroup). Shelby wants Mike back for herself, and embarks on a campaign of terror to get Elizabeth out of the picture. Paper Street Films opens HOMECOMING in New York and LA on July 17, and expands the release in the subsequent weeks. A website will be open soon here.
Just a quick message from me to let you guys know that I’ll probably be without internet for about a week. I’m going to try to access wireless if I can to keep the site updated, but if things go quiet here for a little while just know that I’ll be back as soon as I can to catch up.
Also, check the Twitter page every now and then as it will probably be easier for me to pass on updates there.
Mischa’s spread in the May 14 issue of A Magazine in Italy has been uploaded. And thanks to an unnamed visitor in the comments section, Mischa is apparently linked to star in a movie called “Passing Ships”. Haven’t heard anything on this before, but here is the source link. Hopefully more info will come about soon.
Big thanks to our friend Michele from Luke Grimes Net for sending in the shots.
Candids of Mischa leaving the Connaught Hotel in London have been uploaded. These are from after the Belvedere vodka event.
With the upfronts almost upon us (the time the networks launch their fall schedules, and we get to find out which shows make the cut), industry insiders are starting to throw their two cents in. Nikki Finke from Deadline Hollywood is claiming that the prospects for Mischa’s new show going to series are very good! Check out the full quote below:
THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE (CBS-Paramount/Katalyst Films) looks very good to be picked up since The CW likes its relationship with Ashton Kutcher and this is a drama about models starring young and old babes like Mischa Barton and Elle McPherson. “It’s sexy and very Dawn Ostroff,” one source tells me.
isn’t happy with theBuzz – but unlike other celebrities, she isn’t afraid to tell us to our faces.
Last night the kooky starlet stormed out of a party in Mayfair to confront our Luke – saying she wanted to set the record straight about her love life. “I want to talk to you about the stories you’ve been writing about me,” a glamorous-looking Mischa said, after marching out of the after party for the launch of the Belvedere Pop-Up Shop at The Connaught hotel.
First on her list of gripes was our exclusive revelation earlier this week that she had enjoyed a cosy reunion with former boyfriend Luke Pritchard – of The Kooks –in Camden over the weekend.
thought the fact that the headline said ‘Luke’ and you’re called Luke was kind of funny, but he and I are just friends,” she insisted. “Plus, I’m seeing a new guy at the moment so the story made it awkward with him.”
And who is the lucky guy? Misch refused to elaborate, but we spotted her getting cosy later on with James Regan, a barman and aspiring scriptwriter. Mischa also wasn’t happy that we revealed she’s been trying to hang out with Pete Doherty. “You wrote a story about me and Pete Doherty that upset a lot of my friends,” she said. “It was unnecessary.” We insist that it’s true, however…
Always happy to get feedback, we were pleased to listen to Mischa. Most celebs hide behind PR machines if they are not happy with stories. We think she’s a cool chick…
Photos of Mischa at the Launch of new Belvedere Black Raspberry Maceration Vodka hosted by Estelle and Jonathan Kelsey at the Belvedere Pop-Up Shop in London have been uploaded. I wonder how long Mischa will be in London for? She’ll likely have to be back in the US to attend The CW upfronts mid-May.
