Scans of Mischa’s spread from an April 2013 issue of Look magazine in the UK have been added.
Early promotional photos from Mischa’s upcoming horror flick L.A. Slasher have been added. This should be an interesting project to watch develop as it is being referred to as “neon-noir.” Maybe someone who is familiar
with film making jargon could hit up the comments and give us some detail on what that actually means.
Here is a small press release on Mischa’s most recent film project Beyond Justice which also gives us a first look at the synopsis:
July 2, 2013 – Hollywood, CA Sky Studios International continues its Hollywood Hot Streak! Shortly after wrapping production of the sexy psychological thriller ‘Dead Ringer’ starring Timothy Woodward Jr., Ross Bagley, Jacqui Holland & Eric Roberts, the Sky Studios team began work on the highly anticipated legal thriller ‘Beyond Justice‘.

“With Technology where it is today, we can do amazing things. I’ve figured out a way to literally take one tenth [of] what most independent filmmakers spend and produce products that look ten times better then what 90% of independent filmmakers produce”. Woodward shared surprisingly non-boastfully.
Woodward is, above all else, a business man. His natural entrepreneurial mindset and his frank personality combined with his obvious eye for film make him a serious force to be reckoned with. We can be sure to see more amazing things from this Young Hollywood Upstart as he schmoozes his way through the film industry.
Beyond Justice’ focuses on the life of a young criminal defense attorney as he struggles a homicide case that is more that is not as cut and dry as it appears, while battles a drinking habbit.
The “big picture” of the story goes beyond the lives of those directly related to the case and shines a much needed spotlight on the horrific world of human trafficking in the United States.
In addition to highly praised leading man Timothy Woodward, the film stars Mischa Barton (The Sixth Sense, The O.C.), Vinnie Jones (Snatch, X-Men: The Last Stand), & Danny Trejo (Machete, Grindhouse).

We have had a slew of production announcements featuring Mischa this week, and today is no different. IMDb has added a new movie to Mischa’s page called “Beyond Justice.” Last week there were some Twitter reports that Mischa was on set filming scenes for a movie also starring Danny Trejo – at the time I assumed these were maybe re-shoots for “L.A. Slasher” which they also both star in. But it now turns out it’s a separate film entirely. There’s not a lot of information on this movie that I can find out there, other than the listed genre which is action/thriller. Hopefully more info surfaces soon.

We’ve known about this project for a little while, but it’s good to see it making the rounds press wise. As mentioned, Mischa is also slated to film “Elephant’s Graveyard” part of a potential “Zombie Killers” franchise. Additionally, she’s recently wrapped a romantic comedy titled American Beach House, although we’ve yet to see a press release on this title.
Other titles that we are waiting to hear about include In Love Butterfly, Disengaged, Fast Life and Dirty Money. It’s a great mix of genres so hopefully she’s able to fit them all into her schedule.
Busy day for Mischa in Berlin during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Check out the updated albums below:
According to Dread, the movie is expected to shoot from early-September in Northeast Pennsylvania with an anticipated release date of Summer 2014.
Here is the synopsis from the website:
The town of Elwood is a small, rural collection of color-ful characters, run by “The Mayor”, an elderly man whose wife seems to control the wealth of the town. “Doc” is a holdover of those country doctors that still make house calls, although for some reason, his calls are sometimes greeted with fear.
Seiler, a war veteran trains a group of 20 something’s in paintball skirmish strategy as a practice for real weapon and militia training. It is an eclectic team of young men and women with Brody seeing potential in trainee Ian Sommers.
The town is enclosed wide fencing that stretches miles around its perimeter. What lies beyond the fence is something awful, in the deep forests surrounding the town.
Households have their well water tested regularly as Doc searches for a bacterial contamination. If found, the homeowners are given a choice of death or “eviction” which is exile into the wilderness around Elwood.
The rural community of Elwood is fenced off from the outside world in the wake of an apparent plague. Humans die but keep moving & shamble the landscape looking to spread their infection in a grisly, horrific way. The community is guarded by a band of young people raised since children to be military combatants. Under the leadership of vet Seiler (Billy Zane), they are known by the community as “Zombie Killers” a negative term used behind their backs.
Ian Sommers tends to his dying mother Sharon (Dee Wallace) while having a semblance of normal life with girlfriend Nikki (Gabrielle Stone). The town is under the care of “Doc”, a stoic man who believes in keeping the residents
Rory and his young wife Toni (Mischa Barton) search for a reason behind the plague while Seiler and his Young soldiers discover something far worse coming For Elwood. Something that may target them or put them in the way of an “Elephant’s Graveyard” and Hell.
