MISCHA BARTON has become the latest victim of the credit crunch – her new movie has stalled as makers can’t find the cash to distribute the film.
The actress appears alongside Bruce Willis in Assassination Of A High School President, but the project is in need of investment before a release date is set.
And Barton even claims movie distributors, Yari Film Group, have been forced to file for bankruptcy.
She says, “They just can’t get the funding to distribute it. The movie is complete and ready to go but there is no release date set and it is not looking likely there will be one.”
The film premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and was slated for release in March (09).
