If you’re in the US, make sure to check out the Lifetime Movie Network premiere of Cyberstalker.
Premieres Friday, September 14 at 8/7c on LMN.
Mischa’s Lifetime movie Cyberstalker (previously called Offline) finally has a screening date set for September 7th, 2012 on Lifetime network. Check out the new poster and trailer below!
Thirteen years ago, Aiden Ashley’s world was torn apart after an online stalker followed her into the real world and broke into the Ashley family home to claim the object of his desire. The resulting night of terror ended with the murders of both Aiden’s mother and father. The stalker escaped the scene without Aiden seeing his face; he is gone without a trace, an unknown man, a murderer now watching Aiden’s every move. To escape this danger Aiden spends the next 13 years offline, in therapy and secluded anonymity. Who should Aiden trust in a web of deception where no one may be who they seem? There is nowhere for Aiden to hide when someone wants to love her to death.
According to IMDb, Offline is scheduled to screen in March 2012 so if that date is accurate, we should have a trailer come out pretty soon.
And while I’m on the topic of Facebook, I’ve started a page of Mischa-B.com so go on and visit I’m one of the few people left in the world who has previously never used Facebook, so you’ll have to bare with me while I learn to use it properly for updates.
@RolondaWatts shared a photo of Mischa from the set of I Will Follow You Into the Dark which is currently in production.
As an aside, IMDb is reporting that Mischa’s original Lifetime movie titled Offline will screen on March 1st, 2012. That’s pretty soon so heavier promotion from the network should begin after the next movie in line screens.
The folks behind Mischa’s upcoming Lifetime movie Offline have created a Facebook page and here are the promotional materials that have been added. The film is due to screen sometime in 2012 (I believe during the first part of the year unless that has been pushed).
She has never had a meaningful relationship but after being convinced by her good friend and art dealer, Winton Cornelis, she has a public art-opening gala. At her opening she meets, Paul Rogers. Paul and Aiden immediately have a connection, and though Aiden is wary of any man’s attention she feels that Paul can be trusted.
Detective James Page continues to work the cold case. He enlists cyber security specialist/hacker Jack Dayton to research Aiden’s life. Jack is considered to be a genius. He soon finds that Aiden’s stalker has not gone away, he is watching, patiently waiting for the right time to act. The ‘unknown man’ follows Aiden daily, lurking in the shadows and mostly hiding in plain sight. He enters her home and installs cameras. He loves watching Aiden from his hi-tech lair; he wants Aiden for himself and has a plan to make that happen.
Winton is found with suspicious financial transactions regarding Aiden’s account; he becomes a “person of interest”. Paul is revealed as having a violent past, then he too becomes a “person of interest”… could one of them be Aiden’s stalker? Why is Detective Page so focused on Aiden’s case? He is still working a cold case after 13 years? Who should Aiden trust in a web of deception where no one may be who they seem?
The ‘unknown man’ becomes more agitated and increasingly desperate, he creates a way to become more prominently inserted into Aiden’s life. He is there in front of her every day but his intensions are invisible to her and everyone around her. The ‘unknown man’ wants Aiden only for himself and will do anything to anyone to have her for keeps… But this time Aiden is no longer a frightened teenage girl; she has a new life and is willing to fight for love, freedom and life itself.
Mischa shared a cast Twitter pic from a shoot they were in for the TV movie she’s currently in Canada filming called Offline. Other cast members are saying that production has wrapped for them, I’m unsure if Mischa is on the same schedule but it seems like she should be finished any day now if she hasn’t already completed work.
@MischAmazing And last but not least for photos. A picture of the cast and I messing around on a photo shoot yesterday. http://lockerz.com/s/113850404

OTTAWA — From The OC to O-Town, actress Mischa Barton has seen much in her young Hollywood career.
The 25-year-old, British-born actress, who starred for three seasons in the hit TV series The OC, is in town this week to film Offline, a made-for-TV-movie. She plays a woman whose parents are murdered by a serial killer. She goes into seclusion, then reappears 13 years later as an accomplished painter, only to be discovered once again by the stalker.
The film co-stars Canadian actors Ron Lea, Daniel Levy (Eugene Levy’s son) and Marco Grazzini. The film, made for Lifetime Channel in the U.S., is produced by Neil Bregman of Sound Venture and directed by Curtis Crawford. The low-budget thriller will shoot for three weeks at various locations around town. It is expected to be released on the Lifetime Network next year.
Barton was to arrive in town Monday evening and begin filming June 15, said Bregman. He said getting Barton for the movie was a real coup.
“We wanted to put someone with cachet in the movie and Mischa was interested in the role and wanted to do it. She has real cachet,” said Bregman, who has made several TV movies for Lifetime.
Bregman said he wasn’t worried that Barton’s past troubles with the law will affect her entry into Canada. In December 2007, Barton was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and driving without a valid driver’s licence. In July 2009, she was removed from her Los Angeles home by police and placed in involuntary psychiatric hold in what police described as a “medical issue.”
“We have her immigration papers, everything is approved and we’re in constant communication with her,” said Bregman. “I’m not worried, but I will feel better when I see her here and understand her a little better and see how she is. So far she’s been delightful and interested and has ideas and thoughts about the role and is motivated.”
Barton’s last TV series, Beautiful Life, was cancelled after only two episodes in 2009. She has appeared in many television commercials and print advertising campaigns, including modelling for Calvin Klein, Bebe stores, Aeropostale and Neutrogena skin care products. She was among the Hollywood stars at AMFar’s Cinema Against AIDS gala at the recent Cannes Film Festival and was among celebrities in London last month at a party following the Champions League soccer game between Barcelona and Manchester United.

Larissa Mair Casting & Associates have put up a news bulletin listing the casting announcement for Mischa’s latest project titled Offline.
We have recently finished casting the film “Offline”, and what a cast it is! Starring Mischa Barton, Ron Lea, Dan Levy, Marco Grazzini, Nathalie Brown, it is to begin shooting this month.
This seems to be a Canadian production and although I don’t have specific details, I don’t get the impression this is intended for theatrical release. But we’ll wait and see.
Additionally, I’m about to post a news article claiming that Mischa will be attending the Shanghai Film Festival around the same time that Offline is rumoured to be shooting. So I’m unsure of how the scheduling will work for both commitments.
I also wanted to quickly give an update on Apartment 1303 3D. As we know, the film was supposed to be shot in April but the production date has since been moved to early-fall to accommodate cast availability. Work on special effects has already begun with a new start date to be announced, hopefully, within a few weeks. Big thanks to the MCI company for the info!
