Posted in Movies, NewsOne of the teen world’s biggest idols has been shopping, sipping chai and taking in the sights in Hyderabad. Mischa Barton aka Marissa Cooper of the OC fame, is filming Ravi Kumar’s Bhopal: A Prayer for Rains in the city.
At her side are Kal Penn (from Namesake) and Martin Sheen (from East Wing). The 21-year-old arrived in India early this week to shoot for the movie which also stars Rajpal Yadav and Tanishtha Chatterjee.
A source from the unit said Mischa has been enjoying shooting in Hyderabad. “She seems to be in love with everyone there. Similar to her screen persona, she is like a bubbly fizz and is very-very curious to learn more about India.” Mischa’s been writing and posting videos about her stay in India on her blog too.
“Hey everyone! I’ve just begun filming Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain in Hyderabad, India – it’s truly amazing to have the opportunity to work in such an unbelievable place. I love being able to experience different cultures and lifestyle. Luckily, I had a break from filming, so I took that opportunity to check out a local market with my sister Hania and my friend Kal Penn. We caught some of it on tape and #8230;” (see pics above) The film is based on the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy.
Rajpal Yadav said, “It’s the biggest film of my career so far. I can’t talk much about it. All I can say at this point is, Mischa is a wonderful person. She is beautiful both by her looks and at heart. She loves the colours and food of India. Both Kal and Mischa are great co-stars to work with.”
It’s a 55-day schedule. Rajpal is back in Mumbai, but the others are still in Hyderabad.
