We’ve known about this project for a little while, but it’s good to see it making the rounds press wise. As mentioned, Mischa is also slated to film “Elephant’s Graveyard” part of a potential “Zombie Killers” franchise. Additionally, she’s recently wrapped a romantic comedy titled American Beach House, although we’ve yet to see a press release on this title.
Other titles that we are waiting to hear about include In Love Butterfly, Disengaged, Fast Life and Dirty Money. It’s a great mix of genres so hopefully she’s able to fit them all into her schedule.
Busy day for Mischa in Berlin during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Check out the updated albums below:
According to Dread, the movie is expected to shoot from early-September in Northeast Pennsylvania with an anticipated release date of Summer 2014.
Here is the synopsis from the website:
The town of Elwood is a small, rural collection of color-ful characters, run by “The Mayor”, an elderly man whose wife seems to control the wealth of the town. “Doc” is a holdover of those country doctors that still make house calls, although for some reason, his calls are sometimes greeted with fear.
Seiler, a war veteran trains a group of 20 something’s in paintball skirmish strategy as a practice for real weapon and militia training. It is an eclectic team of young men and women with Brody seeing potential in trainee Ian Sommers.
The town is enclosed wide fencing that stretches miles around its perimeter. What lies beyond the fence is something awful, in the deep forests surrounding the town.
Households have their well water tested regularly as Doc searches for a bacterial contamination. If found, the homeowners are given a choice of death or “eviction” which is exile into the wilderness around Elwood.
The rural community of Elwood is fenced off from the outside world in the wake of an apparent plague. Humans die but keep moving & shamble the landscape looking to spread their infection in a grisly, horrific way. The community is guarded by a band of young people raised since children to be military combatants. Under the leadership of vet Seiler (Billy Zane), they are known by the community as “Zombie Killers” a negative term used behind their backs.
Ian Sommers tends to his dying mother Sharon (Dee Wallace) while having a semblance of normal life with girlfriend Nikki (Gabrielle Stone). The town is under the care of “Doc”, a stoic man who believes in keeping the residents
Rory and his young wife Toni (Mischa Barton) search for a reason behind the plague while Seiler and his Young soldiers discover something far worse coming For Elwood. Something that may target them or put them in the way of an “Elephant’s Graveyard” and Hell.

If you follow the site on Twitter then you’ll already know that from now on mischa-b.com will be paparazzi free. This may not be a popular decision since this site has always been very active with sharing candids, especially since candids have sometimes been the only way to see what Mischa’s up to. However, I feel that Mischa’s attitude towards the paparazzi has changed, mainly over the last couple of years to the point where their presence is actively distressing her. This site has always existed to support Mischa’s career first and foremost and that will now be the sole focus moving forward.
I anticipate that this will mean losing some of the regular visitors of the site, but ultimately this shift in focus is simply about doing the right thing.
The existing candids will remain in the gallery for the foreseeable future, but if there are some pictures you love and want to keep, make sure to save them as there might come a point where candids are deleted altogether.
This strictly only applies to the candids, I’ll continue posting event photos and the like as normal.
If you’re in New York, make sure to head out this Friday night to support Mischa’s latest movie co-starring Ryan Eggold – I Will Follow You Into the Dark.
