The ratings for this episode were even worse than last week (with just over a million people watching). It doesn’t look like The CW can afford to leave the show on the air. So they’ll either have to pull it completely or test another timeslot. For now though, episode 3 “The Beautiful Lie” is still due to air next Wednesday.

Here is the second promo for episode 2 of The Beautiful Life: TBL titled “The Beautiful Aftermath”. The promo doesn’t feature Mischa, but I like how the first promo is based around the more snarky and scandalous side of the show whereas this promo is more of the softness and the heart. Remember, TBL airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
And a slight bit of good news regarding the ratings, TBL had over 1 million viewers sample the show on Friday and then again on Sunday. This bested the repeat results of Melrose Place and now means that potentially 3.5 million people sampled the show over its 3 airings. This data does not include internet viewing or DVR results, so the cumulative audience will increase again. We just have to hope that enough people watch the show live on Wednesday’s, cause that’s when it really counts.

Additional episode stills for TBL’s second episode “The Beautiful Aftermath” have been uploaded. Several of these stills are from the day Mischa and co were on location so a lot of them look like candids.
The CW has released the official synopsis for episode 1.02 The Beautiful Aftermath for Mischa’s new show The Beautiful Life: TBL.
NINA GARCIA (“PROJECT RUNWAY”) GUEST STARS Chris (Ben Hollingsworth) believes his chances at a modeling career are over and prepares to leave New York City until he receives a surprise phone call from Claudia (Elle Macpherson). Claudia informs Raina (Sara Paxton) that she needs to focus more on her career and less on her new relationship with Chris. Isaac (Corbin Bleu) confronts Vivienne (guest star Jamie Murray, “Dexter”) about her behavior towards him at a go-see, and the two end up working out an arrangement that serves both their needs. Marissa (Ashley Madekwe) accuses Sonja (Mischa Barton) of stealing the Versace campaign from her and decides to seek revenge in a very public way, which leads Sonja to Cole (Nico Tortorella) for assistance. Marissa invites Raina’s brother, Alex (guest star Billy Magnussen, “As the World Turns”), to a party hosted by Nina Garcia (“Project Runway”), where more secrets about Raina’s past are revealed. Michael Lehmann directed the episode written by Anna Fricke and Mike Kelley (#101).
