Check out the new title and poster for Mischa’s upcoming film The Sibling aka Resurrection. As we know by now, movies can sometimes go by different titles depending on the territory. It’s currently unclear if this is a general change for the entire release of the movie, or, if the new title is only targeting selected markets. The movie also stars Devon Sawa and Michael Clarke Duncan. The new artwork is via Tombstone Distribution where you can also view the first teaser trailer.
I just received notice from Paragon Studios who have launched a Kickstarter page to help fund improvements to Mischa’s upcoming horror/thriller The Sibling. Anyone can pledge an amount of money and in return you’ll receive a thank you reward based on the amount you pledge. Read
below and visit the Kickstarter page for more information. You can pledge as little as $10. And if you pledge $25, they’ll send you a copy of the DVD which is pretty much how much you’d spend on buying the DVD anyway.
THE SIBLING is a horror-thriller feature film starring Mischa Barton as Jessie, the down-to-earth school psychologist who attempts to help a troubled student named Eli (Jonathan Michael Trautmann), who is being bullied by classmates, while still grieving the loss of his older brother and protector.
What Jessie discovers while talking with Eli is shocking and disturbing, almost completely preposterous. Is Eli really being bullied or is he looking for revenge—or is something much darker unfolding?
The film takes place during a single day and night at and around Middleton High School. Michael Clark Duncan plays the school principal. Devon Sawa is Travis, Middleton’s Sheriff. We’d have to call “Spoiler Alert!” if we revealed any more—and we really want you to be frightened and shocked when you see the film. You’ll just have to wonder: “What’s up with the bloody pig?”
How it works:
Kickstarter uses an all or nothing funding structure. A project must reach its funding goal before time runs out in order for any money to change hands. If time runs out before the goal is reached, no money will be taken from any donors. This way no one is expected to develop a project that has insufficient funding. Fortunately, our film is funded and will be released. We are asking for your help so we can make it even better by employ brilliant filmmakers to polish our gem of a movie.

Check out the trailer for Mischa’s upcoming horror movie with Devon Sawa and Michael Clarke Duncan called The Sibling. I can’t wait! This movie looks like a blast.
Here is an OK! segment from the Pia Michi party. Mischa mentions two of her upcoming film projects, The Sibling and Bhopal.
BTW, in case you missed it on Twitter, screen writer/director Kraig Wenman twittered that Mischa will be shooting a movie called “Offline” from June 12th. I have no idea if this is a legitimate Twitter account or even a legitimate film project, so at this stage consider it a rumour.
